School review

Before you upload: prepare your district review.

Use this printable checklist with your technology or student-data team. A personal subscription does not replace school authorization. You can explore the fictional demo and sample files while your team reviews the service.

Published privacy summary

  • The school controls records submitted on its behalf and determines authorized users and educational purposes.
  • The published policy states that student records support the requested service and are not sold or used for targeted advertising.
  • Contracted providers support infrastructure, database, authentication, payments, email, monitoring, and rostering. Review the core service-provider list and request the applicable processing terms.
  • Authorized schools can request access, correction, export, or deletion. Retention and backup handling depend on the applicable agreement and record type.

Questions for your district

  • Who can approve this service and which data may be uploaded?
  • Is a signed data-protection agreement required before use?
  • What provider, AI processing, retention, deletion, and incident-response terms need confirmation?
  • Who will manage access, roster matching, exports, and account closure?
  • Does the released standards coverage match the classes using the service?

Using student IDs

Supported evidence files can match learners by external student ID. Using IDs in place of names reduces names in evidence files, but IDs can still identify students when linked to a roster. This does not remove the need for school authorization or make the data anonymous.

Use the fictional sample files for exploration. Resolve roster and skill matches before approving evidence in an authorized account.

Subject: Review request — MasteryCue instructional planning

I would like to review MasteryCue for turning supported classroom evidence into instructional groups and next teaching steps. Before uploading student records, could you confirm our approval process and any required data-protection agreement?

The published privacy policy is https://www.masterycue.com/privacy and the security summary is https://www.masterycue.com/security. Please advise which data, provider terms, retention requirements, and access controls our team needs to review. I can use fictional examples while the review is pending.

This checklist summarizes published information. It is not a signed agreement, certification, or district approval. Request applicable contractual terms through Schools & Districts before committing.
